Friday Favorite: GRACIE & ZEKE
May/102
I stumbled upon this post from Wild Flowers Photography. Gracie & Zeke are absolutely adorable.
Friday Favorite: LIGHTS
Apr/100

Genius. If I EVER have a photography studio, or Nik has a music studio, I want THESE! The leather-pulley light system, designed by the bouroullec brothers can be adjusted to fit your desired look. Thanks to Design Sponge for the awesome post.
Friday Favorite: SUPER MODERN HOME
Apr/100
I love the home of Dutch designer, Yvetter Laduk that was featured on Design Sponge a few weeks ago. Its so modern and minimalistic. I am especially intrigued by the light fixture in the dining room, seen below. To see more of this home, click here.
Friday Favorite: PIANO LOVE SESSION
Apr/101
Um…can I have another Friday Favorite? I just came across this awesome shoot and am so excited about it! In fact, if anyone out there can pull of getting an old piano to a field, I will guarantee a free photo session.
If you want to see more of photographer Clayton Austin’s session, look no furthur than this Green Wedding Shoes post.

Friday Favorite: KID TEST
Apr/101
A childhood friend posted this on her blog this week, which I found to be quite entertaining. I do really well on the test…until it asks if I consider Disney an exotic vacation.
Happy Friday, everyone!

Friday Favorite: A LOVE STORY
Apr/102

Thanks to my friend, Rachel, I got totally lost in a sappy (but true) love story online written by Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Women. If you got a few hours and don’t mind cuddling up with your laptop, you should check out Black Heels to Tractor Wheels. Start at the bottom of the list and work your way up. It really is a sweet story. And although I’ve never had much of a thing for cowboys, this story sure made me want to bring home a pair of Wranglers for Nik to try on (like that would EVER happen!). Haha.
Friday Favorite: LEGO ISLAND
Apr/100

I found this awesome Lego Island on the Dwell.com. It was created in Billund, Denmark. Dwell says “Billund is, after all, the home of Lego, one of the most intensely used building blocks on Earth. The company’s 2,350 different pieces and 52 colors form a nearly infinite number of combinations—–and for as many purposes, from creating a land of shipwrecked pirates to assembling an actual kitchen island in a Paris apartment.” Wow! I never realized how many different pieces there were!
Maybe the next time I have a free weekend, I can just build the kitchen bistro table I’ve been looking to purchase.
Friday Favorite (on Tuesday): JESSIE DRESS
Mar/100
Alright. I’m cheating. Twice. First, its not Friday, but I was really sick on Friday, so I didn’t have a chance to pull this together. Second, I saw this dress in the JCrew catalog before seeing it online. So, I realize that I’m breaking the FF rules. But, hey, this is MY blog. I can do whatever I want.
I decided to go with this great light weight cotton dress from JCrew, because it makes PERFECT sense for where I live. It gets HOT here. So, in order for a northern/midwest girl, like myself, to survive the almost unbearable humidity, its important to dress in the most light weight clothes possible. The idea of summer jeans are out the window. Summer dresses are the way to go. I’m loving this Jessie Dress.

Mar/100
Due to illness and the fact that I still have to pull off a City-wide Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow, I will not be posting a Friday Favorite. Check back next week.
Friday Favorite: BRAIDS
Mar/100

Red Velvet Art posted a blog on Braids this week (image source). I love that braids are so popular….but I have yet to master it. Ok, so I haven’t even tried. My hair has just now grown out long enough to even attempt a braid - probably more like a partial braid. I love the look though. The new braid is a grown up beautiful twist on those pigtail braids we sported as young girls (or, those hideous top to bottom french braids my mom used to force on me - my head always hurt after those!). Maybe while I have some girls in my house this weekend, we can play around with how to make a braid work in my hair.
Happy Friday everyone! Cheri & Christy are on there way and I woke up feeling like a kid at Christmas!!!!!!
