So Much To Blog About (Part 3)
May/100
Of course last weekend ended with a very special day - Mother’s Day. It was nice to be home for the occasion. I “helped” my dad make dinner after church. If you don’t know, both of my parents are amazing cooks - so I just try to stay out of their way when I’m at home.

Also, here’s one last pic of Andrew’s graduation - its the whole family, minus Nik.

So Much To Blog About! (Part 2)
May/101
Wow! My busyness hasn’t really stopped since I got home, but that’s ok, because its all been goood stuff! (well, expect for one thing - someone backed into my car at work and left me a pretty nice dent/scratch, but other than that….).
First, I finished the book, Water for Elephants, by Sara Gruen. It was very cool: interesting & unique. There are a few parts that were a little risque, but other than that - thumbs up! I have just started the most wonderful book - Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See. Its about a life-long friendship that starts between two Chinese girls during their foot-binding years. I’m loving it so far.

Anthony & Cynthia’s pics are finished - you can check them out here.

My dear ‘ol friend, Carrie, had me do some pics of her precious Olivia while I was in Springfield. She turns one on Sunday and she is sooo cute. More photos here.

Yesterday, I got to meet Emma Grace, Katie & Micheal’s baby. She is very sweet! So little at just 3 days old! I also booked a wedding in Colorado & its coordinating reception that will be right outside of LA in July! Yay! How fun! Weddings, babies, weddings, babies!
Now…if I could just get to the grocery store….
So Much To Blog About! (Part 1)

I just had the busiest 4 days of my life since my wedding weekend. It was a non-stop, little sleep, working like a dog weekend. But it was so worth it. I had the best time celebrating so many big life moments. Most of my weekend was documented in photos, so I’m going to try to post as much as possible (and probably send you to my photoblog a couple of times).
Friday was spent at Evangel University’s graduation. Congrats to my baby brother, Andrew, who graduated from college! He makes Anthony & I look so small in this picture!

After graduation lunch, Anthony & Cynthia & I headed out to do an engagement shoot. The images aren’t completely ready yet, but here’s one sneak peak. I’ll post another link later.

On Saturday, we hosted a bridal shower for Cynthia. All the planning and hard work paid off - it turned out beautifully. Lyndsey, Becca & Cheri were amazing! They helped my mom and I pull it all together. I am lucky to have such great friends who go the extra mile for me and my family. You can see more images of the shower here.

Later that day, I shot a few images for my dad. He needed a picture for a magazine article, so I was happy to oblige. You can see a few more pics of ‘ol Tommy here.

I have more to come from my trip: Mother’s Day, Anthony & Cynthia, and Carrie’s Olivia. PLUS all the things that happened in Alabama while I was gone, Katie had a baby girl and Sonya found out she is having a boy! Seriously - this weekend was crazy!
Cinco de Mayo
May/100
Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone! I’ll be spending most of my evening packing up to head home. My flight leaves at 6 am tomorrow morning. God bless my sweet, sweet husband for driving me the 45 minutes to Pensacola at 4 am. I’m sure he won’t complain once…me, on the other hand…
I’m excited for a fun (but busy) weekend. Let’s see how many events we can jam pack into 4 days. I’m still debating on whether to take the laptop with me or not…so you MIGHT get a Friday Favorite post and photo updates as the weekend goes by.

Weekend With The Boys
Apr/100
I had a great weekend - my brother, Andrew, and his friends were here Thursday - Saturday to hang out and spend some time at the beach. Roman Street played the Fairhope Art Walk on Friday. I laid out at the beach and had a bridal shoot with Nissi on Saturday. Enjoyed a great Easter dinner with Nik’s family on Sunday. AND a killer nap on Sunday afternoon.
Here are a few pics from Friday night - we took Andrew’s friend, Aric, out for his birthday after Roman Street played. I would like to post an image of Nissi’s bridal, but in the spirit of tradition, I’ll wait until her soon-to-be husband has seen her before I show the rest of the world. Maybe I’ll post one later that won’t give anything away.
Update: see a sneak peak of my bridal session here.

Andrew Is Coming!
Mar/101
My baby brother. My HUGE baby brother is coming tomorrow with 2 of his friends. It will be a weekend full of testosterone with all these boys running around my house! Hopefully, I will have some time to sneak off to the beach with them on Saturday before I do the lovely Nissi’s bridal shoot (soo excited!). It should be a great weekend. Here’s to good weather!

All Things Pretty
Feb/100
I’m beginning to plan Cynthia’s (my brother’s fiance) bridal shower shower that will be held in Springfield in May. Oh, I just wish I had all the time and money in the world because I think I could do some absolutely fabulous things, stealing ideas from here, and here, and there, of course.
I have an idea of how I want the shower to feel - words that come to mind are light, airy, pretty, flowering, vintage…. This is quite different from my own wedding which I would describe as classy, elegant and BLACK. But, I am really feeling a much lighter spring time theme and am excited about how it will turn out. Plus, I am armed with my fabulous go-getter mom and the talented Becca. :)
Last night I started browsing invitations to see if I could start nailing down the main theme. Here are a few that I love, we’ll see if I end up using any of them. The first three are from Paper Source and are fill-in/printable invitations. The last four are from Wedding Paper Divas.

Happy Birthday, Pops!
Feb/100
Happy Birthday to my wonderful Dad who I miss sooo much! Here’s a picture of him from this summer when we took a trip to his hometown in Rhode Island. He is standing in the doorway of the music studio where he took accordion lessons when he was 10 years old. I think he is still a goofy kid at at heart. Haha. I love it.

Derek’s Coming Home!
Feb/100
Derek (Nik’s brother) is coming home tomorrow for a week of leave after graduating from Navy A School and before he moves to his first assignment in King’s Bay, Georgia. King’s Bay is only 5 hours from us, and on the water (it is the Navy after all) and looks like a pretty nice place to visit. It’s also close to Savannah which I hear is pretty sweet, too. So, I’m looking forward to future trips to Georgia.
I’m excited for Derek to come home. I actually really miss him. Haha.

Nik & Derek in Chicago this Fall
I would also like to take a moment to thank everyone for a great birthday. Everyone spoiled me with great gifts (my mom even got me the Optic Blossom Apron I wanted) and good food. I’m very blessed.
