Growing

Spring brings flowers, and warmth, and rain, and possiblities….and BUSYNESS! We have been sooo busy and it is not even close to letting down. But busyness can’t get in the way of another thing that Spring brings: GROWING. At the beginning of this year I wrote a blog about all the things I wanted to do [I Want Blog]. The blog included getting a camera, taking tennis lessons, spending more time with our youth girls….and on and on. It was a list of things that I wanted to add to my life or get better at in order to be a more well-rounded person. And, I’ve attempted at least all of them. Some brought me joy, others made me pull out all my courage, and others helped me be of greater service to those around me. Its been a great time of trying some new things, but has attributed to my already hectic schedule.
I think its really healthy to make sure that you re-group and re-center your life, especially during the busy times. To remember the important daily things like reading your Bible, being in touch with family, connecting with your spouse, and taking care of yourself. It is the only way to keep growing. You can’t just keep adding stuff to your life (although its great to have new experiences and stretch). Its vital to your own well-being to take the time to make sure that everything you do is part of your focus. What’s your mission in life? Is your life reflecting that or are you just doing stuff?
So, I did that this week. I hate quitting stuff, but I had to swallow that pride and do what was best for me. I looked at all the things on my plate and decided that a couple things needed to go in order for me to be better at the most important things. So after a little spring cleaning, I’m refreshed and ready to take on the Spring!

Well, our website host experience a server crash, so a lot of my posts (well, all of the ones that I had made since using WordPress) have vanished. I’ll try to recover all the posts that I can remember posting…or maybe I’ll just do one long photo post…
